National Chiayi University allocates an annual budget of approximately USD 7,000 for toxic and laboratory chemical waste management. All toxic substances, including poisonous chemicals, waste liquids, and discarded laboratory reagents, are properly classified, centrally stored, and then collected and treated by government-licensed public or private waste treatment companies. In 2024, the university generated a total of 7.284 tons of toxic waste, and 100% of it was properly treated and disposed of in accordance with national environmental regulations.
