Planning, implementation, monitoring, and/or evaluation of university governance through the utilization of Information and Communication Technology (ICT)

     National Chiayi University (NCYU) integrates Information and Communication Technology (ICT) across all aspects of university governance to enhance transparency, efficiency, and evidence-based management. Through the School Administration System, e-Campus System, and Online Document Approval System, NCYU ensures that all academic, administrative, and research-related operations are digitally managed and continuously monitored. The School Administration System covers a wide range of ICT-based functions, including course scheduling, attendance, grading, research authorization, environmental safety reporting, and personnel management. It provides comprehensive digital governance for teaching, student affairs, and research activities.   The e-Campus System serves as a unified digital platform connecting academic affairs, student services, and research management. Faculty and students can access teaching materials, submit online applications, and track project progress in real time.  Meanwhile, the Online Document Approval System enables fully paperless internal communication. Faculty and administrative units can issue, review, sign, and track official documents online, supported by automatic reminders and progress dashboards. This system eliminates paper-based workflows, improves efficiency, and supports NCYU’s carbon reduction goals.

  In addition, institutional dashboards such as the Institutional Research (IR) Dashboard and Sustainability Data Platform consolidate university-wide data on education, research, and SDG-related activities. These tools allow for transparent monitoring, periodic evaluation, and strategic planning, ensuring that all processes are aligned with NCYU’s goals for smart governance and sustainable development..

     All ICT platforms at NCYU are continuously updated and optimized. System performance and user feedback are reviewed every semester by the Information Management Division and relevant administrative units to ensure data accuracy, security, and usability. This ongoing revision process ensures that the university’s digital governance remains responsive, efficient, and aligned with emerging sustainability and ICT standards.
