In 2024, a total of 336 student activities were organized across 99 student clubs, 336 activities among which 44 events were directly related to sustainability. These included digital literacy and coding camps for rural schools, sustainable agriculture markets, community-based art and coastal cleanup programs, environmental education camps, and animal welfare and food literacy workshops.
Representative student initiatives included:
1. Digital Learning Volunteer Team – organized “Exploring the Digital Universe of Micro Blocks” digital camps, promoting ICT skills and educational equity (SDG 4.4, 10.2).
2. Agronomy Volunteer Team – held “Good Farming Market” and community outreach for sustainable agriculture (SDG 4.4, 12.8).
3. Landscape Architecture Department – conducted “Haomei Community Redesign” using marine waste art to enhance coastal resilience (SDG 11.4, 12.5, 14.1).
4. Special Education Volunteer Team – hosted “Save the Earth Mission” camp integrating SDGs into environmental learning (SDG 4.7, 13.3, 10.2).
These student-led activities demonstrate NCYU’s long-standing commitment to embedding sustainability education, digital inclusion, and community engagement into campus culture and social responsibility practice.
