National Chiayi University actively promotes resource recycling and waste reduction across all campuses.  In 2024, the university produced and collected a total of 96.669 metric tons of paper and plastic waste. Among these, paper waste and paper containers accounted for 77.2 tons, while plastic waste and PET bottles totaled 19.469 tons.

All recyclable materials were collected through the university’s waste management system and processed by certified recycling contractors. Continuous monitoring and annual reporting mechanisms ensure accurate tracking of campus-generated waste and promote the sustainable utilization of resources.
