In 2022, National Chiayi University not only continued to install solar panels within the campus but also set up sun-tracking solar panels and two wind power generation systems on the rooftop of the Department of Mechanical and Energy Engineering. These systems generate approximately 4,305,081 kWh annually, with all of the electricity being supplied to the department's practical classrooms.
